Lockdown Hair Removal!

Updated: Jul 16, 2020

So it's been over a month and we're all missing our beauticians that keep us plucked, preened and hair free! If your tweezers are now overworked, here are a few alternative options to keep you smooth and hairless until the lockdown is over!

Waxing

I started waxing my eyebrows and upper lip about 2 years ago as threading always brought me out in spots and the thread would cut the thinner skin around my eyes. My beautician used Chocolate Wax. This wax is amazing for sensitive skin and smells so good! It hardens on your skin and you simply pull the wax off, so no hassle with cotton strips etc.

TOP TIPS:

I still pluck the hair under my eyebrows but use either a lollipop stick or cotton bud to wax above the eyebrows and between them.

Ensure your face is clean and apply a little talc onto the area so that the wax gripes the hair.

Permanent Hair Removal

If you've come to the end of your laser treatments or need a top up, look no further than the Philips Lumea Prestige IPL Removal System. I've been using this since December last year and let me tell you, it is amazing! Whilst the initial outlay is expensive, it works out far cheaper than paying a clinic in the long run. The device comes with 3 attachments and an app that reminds you when to use it. As a working mother, I find it easier to fit into my schedule as I can use it in the evenings or weekends. If that wasn't enough, you can use it cordless as well as mains powered!

TOP TIPS:

Always shave the area before using the device.

Use the device regularly as the app suggests

Always use the SmartSkin Sensor to ensure you aren't using a setting that is too high

And if you're still insistent on using tweezers, then there is only one make I would recommend...

Tweezerman Tweezers

I've been using mine for over 15 years!
